Become a Volunteer
Your skills and experience can make a big difference.
By becoming a GUCH PA volunteer you can help others and yourself too.
Please read through the Frequently Asked Questions Section as it provides useful information on volunteering with us. If you would like to talk to an existing volunteer to find out what it is like to be part of our volunteering team please contact the GUCH Office and we can arrange this. You don't have to have a heart condition to volunteer for us, all you need to be is aged 16 or older and have an interest in our work.

Questions to Ask Yourself Before Volunteering:
Do I have enough time to volunteer?
Think about family/work commitments/your own health.
Do I have the support from friends/family?
Although not necessary, having outside support can be beneficial. It is always helpful to be able to discuss ideas with family and friends and have their encouragement and help.
Can I handle the emotional demands of volunteering?
Some roles can be emotionally demanding although they can also be very rewarding.
Do I really understand what I'm getting into?
It requires time and effort and carries a certain amount of responsibility and at times can be frustrating.
