Volunteer Opportunities

We at GUCH PA greatly appreciate any time and support our volunteers can offer us and we are always interested in hearing from anyone wanting to join our volunteer team. Outlined below are some opportunities that we currently have, although any other suggestions for voluntary projects are always welcomed. We provide full training and support, and welcome volunteer applications from everybody. Telephone Helpline:

This is a very important service providing support and information to GUCH patients and their family and friends. Run from your own home phone via a very simple call divert service at a regular time that suits you, it is a convenient and invaluable way to volunteer with GUCH PA.

Training will be provided and regular supervision under taken to offer each volunteer maximum support for the duration of their volunteer contribution with us. We are looking for both permanent helpline volunteers and also people able to be flexible to cover holiday and sickness periods.

It is possible to arrange for you to have a chat with other helpline volunteers if you would like to ask any questions.

GUCH News:

The quarterly GUCH magazine - GUCH News - is always looking for volunteers to help keep it informative and enjoyable for its readers. Whether you want to contribute regularly or write a one off article on anything GUCH related, we welcome submissions from everyone. We also have positions within proof reading and editorial roles for those wishing to make a more long term commitment and become more involved with the magazine. If you would like to discuss how to become involved at any level within GUCH News, please contact us.

Fundraisers:

If you would like to organize a fundraising event in support of GUCH PA we would love to hear from you and can supply you with promotional material to help. Similarly, if you would like to be involved with any fundraising events GUCH itself may organize in the future, please do register your interest with us today.
