Forthcoming Events
National Patient Conference in Manchester 9th and 10th October 2010
09 October 2010
Our annual National Patient conference event this year will be coming to the vibrant northern city of Manchester. There will be a programme of presentations from top GUCH professionals, along with useful and practical workshops on a range of GUCH issues. There will also be the opportunity to attend an exciting and interesting excursion around the local area on the Sunday, for those wishing to stay the night at the GUCH conference hotel. This is a fantastic opportunity to meet fellow patients and families from across the UK, as well as meet the GUCH PA staff and GUCH medical professionals. Keep informed of GUCH news, socialize with others, and ENJOY a fantastic city break with us! Free to attend (accommodation and excursion additional charge)
We know that being a younger patient can mean that you have different concerns and different things you want to talk about than some of our more mature members. Times can be tough enough growing up what with school, exams, university, finding out who you are and what you want out of life - then throw in a heart condition into the mix and all sorts of other issues can come up. We understand this, and we also understand that accessing support and information about your heart condition early on can really help you get a handle on things better. There are loads of other younger patients like you all around the country with all kinds of heart conditions, and this year at our National patient Conference, we want to bring everyone together.
We will have a fantastic programme of activities, including fun workshops, discussion time and more, and the aim is to address issues to do with your health and how you feel about your condition, in a friendly, informal and fun way.
This exclusive programme is only open to younger patients aged upto 24 years.
(Parents are welcome to join in the programme of activities in the other conference)
