GUCH Weekend Away 20th–22nd June 2008

Last year we had a GUCH 'weekend away' which was held at the Manor House at Fowley Cross near Okehampton in Devon.
We were told that everyone who went enjoyed themselves and had a really good time, so, by popular request, it has been decided that the weekend away for this year will again be held at the Manor House. It is approximately 2.5 miles from Okehampton and 25 from Exeter. It is easy to reach by road, and National Express coaches stop in Okehampton. The nearest rail station is in Exeter and there is a bus service that goes past the Manor House from Exeter Station.
This will be a relaxed weekend for you to choose what you would like to do. Guided walks of varying degrees into nearby Dartmoor National Park are available, weather permitting, or you can try your hand at one of the many craft workshops available which are held in their purpose built craft centre. These range from picture framing or needlework to candle making and each course has a tutor to guide you through the session.
All meals from arrival Friday evening until departure Sunday morning are included. There are also a large variety of both indoor and outdoor sports and you can have use of their leisure facility.
